Eclipse Cross

Mitsubishi has not revealed many new cars besides the Mirage and Mirage G4. We have seen several concepts, but there they remain, concepts. And although its new crossover design does not share a design line with a sports car of the past (and by this I mean nothing more than Eclipse) somehow have managed to unearth and use the name of one of the most iconic sports car name of the brand (besides the Evo, of course) the Eclipse. Not only have they used the name Eclipse, but they are using it in a Crossover, hence their name Cross, which the fan community of the Eclipse line consider a disrespect to the name. (Pictures of Eclipse Generations at the end of this post) The Eclipse, in its years, followed the line of high performance cars before they decided to eliminate the Eclipse in 2012. Now the big question is: is it a crossover of high performance? The answer is very simple. NO. The Eclipse Cross is not a high-performance crossover. Its size can be compared to that of the Jeep Compass or Subaru Crosstrek. It will be the direct competitor of the Nissan Qashqai, similar to a Nissan Rouge of our car market. I have to admit that the Cross has a pretty attractive design, its revised interior is much prettier than the interior of any current Mitsubishi, design that looks from the early 2000s. The Eclipse Cross features a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine, the only engine option for the American market, and Europe will obtain a diesel engine of 2.2 liters. A CVT transmission will also be the only transmission option, but this will be offered with the option of four-wheel drive. There are still no official numbers on how much HP or torque the Cross will have, although sources estimate it will have about 120hp, thus giving better gas mileage than the current 2.4-liter Outlander engine. Is it a rival for sport eclipses? The turbo helps, but no, it's not even close to being a performance car. Adios Eclipse coupe. In its exterior design you can see a similar design on the front of the Lexus NX, and the back can be described as ... Well as something not very attractive. Its design on the back recalls the design of the Pontiac Aztek, one of the most ugly American SUVs in the world. The car's beautiful and dynamic form serves to achieve the same sense of excitement and inspiration as the diamond ring seen immediately before and after a total solar eclipse does. Can someone from your design center can please come and help me find the excitement on the Eclipse Cross, apart from the over saturated red color that "evokes the brilliance of the red ring behind the moon."?
